Nicki Minaj interview with The Breakfast Club
Two weeks after Beyoncé’s surprise album drops, another influential female artist drops a surprise remix through the viral airways. Female rapper Nicki Minaj releases a remix to the underground party single “Boss Ass B*tch” by PTA on December 30th. Minaj’s remix continues to prove herself as not only the “5 Star Chick”, she proclaimed herself to be with her feature on Yo Gotti’s song back in 2009, but also to be a ‘Boss Ass B*tch’ to start off 2014 with a buzz. She references the 2009 song on the remix with her infamous line, “Ask Lil Wayne who the 5 star b*tch is.”
On November 4th, in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1, she addressed her feelings towards her name not being mentioned in Kendrick Lamar’s Control Freestyle verse.
“Well I’m probably [one of] the top five [people] he did mention…but I also feel like maybe he was one of those respectful, gentleman that probably said ‘oh I don’t want to mention a female’s name’..or maybe he doesn’t think the kid is ill, but the kid know the kid is ill, so I don’t really need to be on nobody’s sh*t.”
Minaj’s surprise remix definitely had to remind some people that the kid, is in fact ill.
Minaj was also asked about her new clothing line, which is currently in 500 K-Mart stores.
“I wanted girls to feel like they’re going to get quality that Nicki herself put together and approved…Ill give it about a year when the girls really see what my clothes is about, they’re going to feel proud to wear it.”
With the release of Minaj’s clothing line opening in K-Mart, her new Moscato “Myx”, the upcoming release of her new movie “The Other Woman” with Cameron Diaz, and the much awaited 2014 release of her next album, the kid doesn’t have much to worry about.
After all, not just anyone can come to K-Mart in a pink Lamborghini with the doors up.
