Thursday the Cultural Affairs Commission’s Hip Hop Congress hosted their annual hip hop fashion show. Featuring designs from labels from like Johnny Cupcakes and Crooks & Castles, fashion enthusiasts gathered in the Ackerman Grand Ballroom to watch fellow students sashay down the runway to some of the hottest hip hop songs out today. The show also featured an education component, displaying video footage of prominent hip hop figures, like MC Lyte and Run DMC, discussing the importance hip hop on the fashion world. With performances from the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. the night proved to be one of fun, fashion and friendship for all in attendance.
