Many people have jumped on the bandwagon of the Powerball jackpot. The Powerball jackpot has continued to grow, and it has grown so much that it is now at a record $1.5 billion.

After taxes and other fees are taken out, it is reduced, to a still mind-blowing, $930 million. Lottery officials reported about 370,000 tickets were being sold per minute on Tuesday.

However, the chances of winning are slim to none; there is a one in 300 million chance. In a nation where there are innumerable problems, the Powerball jackpot gives some unsuspecting hopeful the ability to escape them, monetarily.
